Body ID'd at Akron recycling plant, 911 call: 'We have a dead body on the line'

AKRON, OH (WOIO) - On Friday morning, the Summit County Medical Examiner released the identity of the body found at the Greenstar Recycling Center.

The deceased body was identified as 53-year-old David Moran, a white male from Akron. The cause of his death has not been released yet, and is not expected until a full autopsy has been performed.

Police say the man's body was found on a conveyor belt at the Akron recycling center on Thursday morning. Workers on the sorting line told police they were separating recyclables when a man's body came down the conveyor belt.

During the 911 call, the Akron recycling plant employee said, "We have a dead body on the line." The 911 dispatcher sounded stunned and surprised after receiving the call.

Authorities are still investigating where the recyclables may have come from since the materials that are brought to the plant come from such a wide area, which include several cities or even area states.
