CLEVELAND, OH (WOIO) - Prom is a special rite of passage for teens, but for those battling cancer they don't always get the chance to go. Saturday night the "Prom to remember" will give 150 teens a night out to have fun.
The night of the event, teens will ride in style to prom in chic, black limos provided by A-1 Mr. Limo, Thomas Limousine, First Class Limos and Lake Erie Limo. A photographer will be on-site to mirror paparazzi as the teens walk down the red carpet into the Silver Grille.
The guest list for the evening will consist of patients, doctors and nurses from three area hospitals: Akron Children's Hospital, University Hospitals Rainbow Babies & Children's Hospital and The Cleveland Clinic's Children's Hospital.
Ashleigh Martin is going to the event for the sixth year after battling brain cancer.
"This is a good chance in case some kids can't go to prom, this gives them a chance where finally they can go to prom," said Martin.
