Registration is underway for the Summit County 2017 Summer Youth Employment Program.
Youths between the ages of 14 – 24 as of June 1, 2017, may qualify for summer jobs offered by the Summit County Department of Job and Family Services.
Interested youths (or their parent, guardian, or designee) must register online for a first-come, first-served chance to participate.
"A key component to our economic strategy is to provide employers with a skilled, experienced and educated workforce," said Summit County Executive Ilene Shapiro. "The skills and work experience gained through the Summer Youth Employment Program enable hundreds of young men and women to succeed throughout the rest of their lives."
Who Can Apply?
- Must be a Summit County resident aged 14 – 24 as of June 1, 2017.
- Applicant’s household must meet minor-child requirement.
- Household income must not exceed 200% of the federal poverty level.
- Employment opportunities will be limited, and availability will be determined by age, worksite, and funding; work for youths between the ages of 14 – 15 will be very limited.
