AVON LAKE, OH (WOIO) -

In Avon Lake, police say a burglary suspect remains on the loose. They tell Cleveland 19 News that two homes were hit recently.

The first incident happened Saturday, April 8 in the evening around 10 p.m. on Schiller Court. An elderly woman told police that a male she didn't know kicked
in her back door and let himself inside. She noticed him and he fled the home. She told police he was wearing dark clothing, possibly a black hoodie, and had a flashlight.

The second incident happened a mile and a half away on Bounty Way. The residents weren't home when the house was burglarized, and they came home to find that the front door had been kicked in and jewelry was missing from the home.

Police suspect that the incidents could be related due to the timing and proximity. Look for a full report at 5 p.m. on Cleveland 19 News.
