DOWNTOWN CLEVELAND, OH (WOIO) - Renovations for The Q have been approved by the Cleveland City Council's finance committee.
The full council was set to vote on the proposal Monday, but fell short of the votes needed for immediate passage.
The proposal will be brought back next Monday night for a third and final reading, along with a final vote.
The renovations will cost $140 million.
The project, scheduled to begin this summer, is jointly funded by the Cleveland Cavaliers NBA team, Cuyahoga County and the city of Cleveland. Plans are to create more space for restaurants and public areas.
