CLEVELAND, OH (WOIO) - For the players and their families, this has been a very short offseason. That's the catch when you're in the World Series, playing into November.
"You just make the best of it, pack in as much as you can, see as much family as you can," says Tiffani Otero, wife of relief pitcher Dan Otero.
It's been a busy offseason for the Otero's and their two adorable little girls. A Disney Cruise was among the highlights over Christmas.
"It was so fun, such a good time. The oldest is very much into princesses and she got to meet Rapunzel and Belle," says Tiffani.
The Otero's are about to welcome a new little princess to the family. They're expecting!
"Third girl too. We'll add another girl into the mix," says Tiffani.
Baby girl is due to arrive during the season in August. Tiffani says she's been through the same scenario before with their first daughter. She went into labor when Dan was pitching out of town. But fresh off the pitcher's mound, last flight home, Dan made it to delivery in the nick of time.
"He got to the hospital, I already had an epidural," says Tiffani.
Dan adds, "It was perfect timing because she was already in a happy mood."
And as the family gears up for opening day, and all it's excitement, Dan is already looking forward to the post-game hug from his favorite little fans.
"That's one of the highlights of my day, after the game, having Macie and Kinsley run into my arms."
