St. Augustine Hunger Center and Parish in Cleveland’s Tremont neighborhood is prepping this week to provide 14,000 Easter meals this Sunday.

In order to make this happen, organizers say the Hunger Center is in need of donations and volunteers.

If you'd like to volunteer call (216) 781-5530.

A majority of the meals will be packed for delivery on Easter Sunday at a location in Parma, while some will be assembled in Walsh Hall at St. Augustine.

In addition, the church will provide transportation for people to and from the meal and also deliver meals to the home bound.

The hot meals will be served at the St. Augustine parish halls, as well as a multitude of other locations both east and west.

Sister Corita Ambro says volunteers are busy preparing ham, sweet potatoes, mashed potatoes, vegetables, salad, dessert, coffee, tea and juice.

Most of the items are donated.

"People here in Cleveland have been so generous to us here at St. Augustine's and I can't thank them enough for the good and generosity of the people. They care of us every single week," said Sister Ambro.

Easter Sunday meal will be served from 11 a.m.-1 p.m. at 2486 W. 14th St.

All are welcome to attend.
