EAST CLEVELAND, OH (WOIO) - An East Cleveland police officer has been indicted on charges of gross sexual imposition and abduction.
Kenneth Bolton was accused of groping two women during a February traffic stop.
Bolton has also been indicted on charges of violating their civil rights.
Authorities say Bolton, 49, illegally pulled over two women, ages 22 and 23, at the intersection of Euclid Avenue and Lee Road. They said Bolton had heard over the police dispatch radio that the two women had been stopped about 30 minutes earlier and had been cited for a traffic violation.
Authorities said that during the stop, Bolton took a sex toy he found in the backseat of the victim's car and assaulted both women while they were detained.
Bolton was fired March 3.
He faces up to 10 years of incarceration if convicted.
The arraignment is scheduled for April 17.
