Cleveland Indians second baseman Jason Kipnis found a discontinued piece of protective gear with the help of his Instagram followers.
Kipnis explained he lost his favorite white Easton shin guard in an Instagram post Thursday.

Kipnis says he had worn the model since college. In the post, Kipnis said he'd exchange the shin guard for some tickets or memorabilia.
"I can get you some [Francisco Lindor] signed gear!!!" he wrote.
In a follow up Instagram post about 24 hours later, Kipnis said he found the elusive shin guard but did not credit one person for helping him find it.
