Facebook shooting victim's family: 'Feels like my heart is gonna stop'

CLEVELAND, OH (WOIO) -

Cleveland police said the man killed in the Facebook video has been identified as Robert Godwin, Sr. He's a 74-year-old Cleveland man. 

Police said Steve Stephens randomly shot and killed Goodwin.

Godwin's family is in disbelief. 

"It's not real," a family member said. "This man (Godwin) right here was a good guy. He would give you the shirt off his back."

"Feels like my heart is gonna stop," said another family member. 

Police are searching for the suspect. Police said he is considered armed and dangerous. If seen call 9-1-1, do not approach the suspect, authorities said. 

Description of Stephens

  • He is described as a black man
  • 6 foot 1, 244 pounds
  • Bald with a full beard
  • Wearing a dark blue and grey or black striped polo shirt
  • White or cream-colored SUV
