CLEVELAND, OH (WOIO) - In an effort to provide a safer and more comfortable school atmosphere, several local schools in northeast Ohio will have an increased security presence during the active manhunt for the Facebook shooting suspect.
On Sunday, Steve Stephens posted a video onto his Facebook account of him fatally shooting 74-year-old Robert Godwin, Sr. in Cleveland. Stephens fled from the scene and law enforcement officials have been searching for him ever since. A woman associated with the suspect told CNN that Stephens often stayed at her home in Twinsburg with her children.
Because of the suspect's connection to the city, schools in Twinsburg will see more police officers on campus. Cleveland Metropolitan School District officials said they are operating under normal security procedures.
