CLEVELAND, OH (WOIO) - Cleveland Mayor Frank Jackson administered an oath of office Thursday morning to 46 Cleveland patrol officers and two arson investigators. The newly-appointed officials graduated from the Cleveland Police Academy.
The ceremony was held at the Cleveland City Hall building. The graduating class is part of the 136th police academy class.
Along with Mayor Jackson, Cleveland Chief of Police Calvin Williams, Safety Director Michael McGrath, and Cleveland City Council Safety Committee Chairman Matt Ward were in attendance.
The 48 graduates ended the ceremony with an oath and pledge to public service and safety.
