CLEVELAND HEIGHTS, OH (WOIO) - The Cleveland Heights Parks and Recreation Department will kick off the Women Out Walking 12-week program on Sunday.
The program will run from April 23 to July 16 and will focus on encouraging approximately 150 women to live a more healthier lifestyle. Women aged 18 and older are asked to joint the walks.
At Sunday's kickoff event, the first 150 registered participants will receive a t-shirt and a pedometer. Cleveland Heights Mayor Cheryl Stephens and other speakers will be in attendance.
Last year, more than 30 million steps were taken by the program participants.
