Fears of salmonella contamination prompt Frito-Lay recall

DOWNTOWN CLEVELAND, OH (WOIO) - Frito-Lay has announced a recall because of fears of salmonella contamination.

The voluntary recall is for Jalapeno-flavored Lay's Kettle Cooked potato chips and Miss Vickie's Jalapeno-flavored kettle potato chips.

The chips have a "use by" date of July 4 or earlier.

Frito-Lay says the seasoning blend is potentially tainted.

The company says there are no reports of anyone getting sick.
