The $600 million sports and entertainment complex is being built with football fans and tourism in mind.
Tuesday at 11 a.m., a groundbreaking was held where a 4-star, football-themed hotel will be built. The hotel will have a restaurant overlooking the village's main street consisting of shops, restaurants and entertainment options.
Also on Tuesday, a final piece of steel was raised at Tom Benson Hall of Fame Stadium.
During the groundbreaking ceremony, the President and CEO of the Pro Football Hall of Fame David Baker, as well as NFL Hall of Famer Bruce Smith were on hand to speak.
Work on the Hall of Fame Stadium is expected to be done by late summer in time for the 2017 Enshrinement Week. Several of the projects at the Hall of Fame Village are set to be finished by 2019.
A live construction camera has been setup to show some of the work as it happens.
Officials are hoping to secure future NFL Drafts at the site.
