CLEVELAND, OH (WOIO) - The Rock & Roll Hall of Fame announced Wednesday morning that the 33rd Induction Ceremony will return to Cleveland in 2018.
The ceremony will be held on April 14, 2018 at Cleveland's Public Hall.
Leading up to the 2018 induction, visitors will be given free admission to the Rock Hall. Several other events and activities will also be held at the Rock Hall and throughout Cleveland.
The most recent Induction Ceremony was held in New York. Joan Baez, Electric Light Orchestra, Journey, Nile Rodgers, Pearl Jam, Tupac Shakur, and Yes were honored at the 2017 ceremony.
The 2017 inductees beat out other acts including Bad Brains, Chaka Khan, Chic, Depeche Mode, J. Geils Band, Jane's Addiction, Janet Jackson, Joe Tex, Kraftwerk, MC5, Steppenwolf, The Cars, and The Zombies.
The last Induction Ceremony held in Cleveland was in 2015. Other years included 1997, 2009, and 2012.
