Northeast Ohio weather: Snow Alert Day: Starts Monday Evening

CLEVELAND, OH (WOIO) -

A Winter Storm Watch has been issued starting Monday after 7 p.m, through Wednesday for parts of Ashtabula and Geauga Counties where they are expecting 7 - 12" of snow with this next system coming into town. 

It's a system snow that will bring new snow to everyone, but it's the combination of a System Snow and Lake Effect Snow that could bring the Snowbelt a few awful snowy days.

Greater Cleveland area 4 - 6" and outside the area west and south 1 - 4" of snow over the course of 3-days. Tonight is quite cold and gray with the return of Lake Effect snow bands overnight.. Monday starts off mostly cloudy and cold, but the snow could start flying as early 7 p.m. on Monday.
