A major cold front is expected to cross the area Saturday night. A surge of warm air builds in before the front tracks through. We have widespread rain in the forecast Saturday and Saturday night. The rain will be heavy at times with a risk of some thunder in there as well. Most of us are expected to receive over 1 inch of rain. The wind will really become a factor as the cold front blows through Saturday night. The winds could gust over 50 mph and that can cause some damage and power outages. Much colder air comes in by Sunday. It remains very windy with snow showers and lake effect snow. Snow accumulations of a trace to 2" is what we are thinking during the day. There will be additional snow accumulation Sunday night especially east of Cleveland.
