Eight vehicles torched in Akron in the past two weeks

AKRON, OH (WOIO) - Police and firefighters are investigating eight vehicle arsons that have happened in the Kenmore Community.

The first three arsons were on April 15.

At 2301 Romig Road, a 1997 Jeep Cherokee stolen from Springfield Township was set on fire.

At 2274 10th Street SW, a 2000 Jeep Grand Cherokee was burned in the driveway and at 940 West Wilbeth Road, a 2012 Hyundai Genesis taken from Jason Avenue in Akron, was set on fire.

The fourth arson happened on April 18 at 240 Diamond Drive. A 1998 Jeep Cherokee stolen from Barberton was set on fire.

The last four arsons all happened on April 26.

At 1409 Swinehart Avenue, a 2000 Jeep Grand Cherokee was burned in the driveway.

At 1389 Fawler Avenue a 2005 Chevy Uplander was burned in the driveway.

At Leeser and Samuel Avenues a pick-up truck was set on fire. And, just before midnight a Chevy Trailblazer was set on fire in the 1700 block of Brown Street.

Akron police say they have no suspect/s descriptions and there have been no injuries.
