PHILADELPHIA, PA (WOIO) - The Cleveland Browns selected David Njoku (pronounced JOE-koo), a tight end from the University of Miami, with the 29th pick in the 2017 NFL Draft.
The Browns traded their No. 33 and No. 108 picks to move up to No. 29. The team used the pick to select Njoku.
Njoku has been described as an strong, elite and athletic tight end. He only started nine games in his two years with the Miami Hurricanes, but was a red zone threat in his final collegiate year. He is quick and willing to block, which will help the offensive line.
NFL analyst Lance Zierlein said he could be a potential Pro Bowler in the future.
