CLEVELAND, OH (WOIO) - As soon as Myles Garrett got the the call from the Cleveland Browns, the defensive end from Texas A&M ripped off his Adidas t-shirt and he was sporting a 'Heart of Rock & Roll Cleveland' tee underneath.
Moments later Garrett received a surprise visit from Hall of Famer Bruce Smith, one of Garrett's idols.
Smith presented Garrett with gear on behalf of licensed sports merchandise Fanatics and the NFLPA.
The Cleveland Browns took the defensive end No. 1 overall in the NFL draft.
Garrett chose to pass up the grand stage in Philadelphia to celebrate the biggest moment in his life among family and friends in Arlington, Texas.
