AKRON, OH (WOIO) - The former president of the Green Little League program pled guilty Friday to stealing over $27,000 from the youth sports organization.
Tim McCloud pled to one count of grand theft and as part of the plea bargain, the money laundering charge was dismissed.
The investigation began in August of 2016, when someone noticed $10,000 missing from the Little League account. A forensic accountant conducted the investigation and found the additional missing money and determined McCloud had been using the money for his own gain.
McCloud, 46, will be sentenced on May 30.
