Former Cleveland Heights star drafted by the Eagles

CLEVELAND HEIGHTS, OH (WOIO) - Former Cleveland Heights and West Virginia wide receiver Shelton Gibson was selected by the Philadelphia Eagles in the 5th Round of the NFL Draft on Saturday. The 6'0" receiver averaged 22 yards per catch this past season for the Mountaineers and had 17 touchdowns the past two seasons.

Gibson's speed and big play ability reminded some scouts of former Eagles receiver DeSean Jackson, so Philly seems like the perfect fit for the Heights High product.

Gibson joins Travis and Jason Kelce as former Tigers currently in the NFL.
