Fatal motorcycle accidents in Cleveland and Carlisle Township

Two people are dead after motorcycle accidents in Cleveland and Carlisle Township.

Around 9:30 p.m. on July 14 a 2004 Yamaha was traveling northwest on Grafton Road and a Ford Sedan Delivery was traveling southeast on Grafton Road in Lorain County. The rider of the motorcycle lost control and was ejected, the rider landed in the southbound lane of Grafton Road and was struck by the Ford.

The driver of the Ford was not injured. Andrew S. Johnson who was driving the motorcycle was pronounced dead at the scene.

Johnson was not wearing a helmet.

Another fatal motorcycle accident on Interstate 71/ State Route 176 in Cleveland happened on Saturday. The victim died at the scene.
