SOUTH EUCLID, OH (WOIO) - A man threatened a fast food restaurant employee in South Euclid on Tuesday, all because he was not satisfied with the sandwich that he ordered.
According to South Euclid police, officers responded to the Steak 'n Shake on Warrensville Center Road for reports of an "irate" and "crazy" man on the property.
Police say 20-year-old Dearyus Menefield told the employee that he had a gun and was going to shoot someone because he was not happy with the sandwich he ordered. Police say Menefield was apparently not satisfied with how the sandwich tasted. He entered a restricted area in the restaurant and said he wanted to "deal" with the person that made his order.
Police arrested Menefield and charged him with aggravated menacing.
The South Euclid Police Department provided several tips for people that may not be happy with their fast food orders:
- Remain calm
- Act Rational
- Don't make comments you will regret later
- Don't take matters into your hands
- When the police arrive be cooperative
