Donate: Blood for the Browns

CLEVELAND, OH (WOIO) -

The Cleveland Browns and the American Red Cross will host the annual Cleveland Browns Blood Drive Saturday, July 29 at 12 locations throughout Northeast Ohio. All donors will receive a commemorative Browns T-shirt and two upper level tickets to the Browns' Aug. 21 preseason game. 

Donors visiting Browns Training Camp that day can give from 8 a.m. to 2 p.m.at Berea Recreation Center, 451 Front St. in Berea. 

This blood drive comes when the Red Cross is facing a critical blood shortage.

Since the inception of the Cleveland Browns Blood Drive, over 9,000 pints have been collected to help patients in need.

    A pair of gorillas now make their home at the Cleveland Metroparks Zoo. The zoo is welcoming two new female gorillas ahead of World Gorilla Day, Sept. 24. "Fredrika" (or Freddy) is 43-year-old from Zoo Miami in Miami, FL and 26-year-old and "Kebi Moya" (or Kebi) comes to Cleveland from the Columbus Zoo and Aquarium in Powell, OH.
