DOWNTOWN CLEVELAND, OH (WOIO) - It's always heartwarming to see children helping other kids. Cleveland 19 found a local 9-year-old who's trying to change the world by combining philanthropy with literacy.
This week's Romona's Kid is from Solon.
Kendall Fellows is sponsoring a Read-A-Thon called "The Kendall Challenge." Children get sponsors to pledge money for each book they read.
Kendall came up with the idea to help children in need two years ago, at the age of 7. Each year she donates the proceeds of her fundraiser to a different organization that serves kids. She plans to become a doctor, and this year will donate the proceeds to Rainbow Babies and Children's Hospital.
