AKRON, OH (WOIO) -

A Summit County deputy sheriff accused of kidnapping and raping a woman appeared for arraignment Friday morning.

According to the Summit County Prosecutor's Office, 46-year-old Antonio Williamson turned himself in on Thursday for a March 19 incident. Williamson is facing charges for rape, kidnapping, sexual battery, and gross sexual imposition.

During Friday's arraignment hearing, Williamson pleaded not guilty.

Williamson was off-duty at the time of the alleged incident, according to the prosecutor's office. He allegedly left a side job in uniform and was driving a Summit County Sheriff's Office cruiser the day the 26-year-old woman said she was assaulted.

The Summit County Sheriff's Office has not commented on the case.

The Summit County judge set a $100,000 bond for Williamson. His next court appearance is scheduled for Aug. 1.
