Is Topps taking away Chief Wahoo?

CLEVELAND, OH (WOIO) - It was years ago that Topps, the grandfather of all baseball card makers, took the cardboard infused gum out of its pack. And now it appears it will be equally hard to find Chief Wahoo on its cards.

The Society for American Baseball Research, and its bloggers have noticed the move starting with this season. Gone is Wahoo on anything Topps, which is the official card of Major League Baseball, designs on the cards and it's been replaced with the "Block C."

What they don't do is manipulate the image of the player, meaning if Chief Wahoo is on the sleeve or ball cap of a player, it's left alone. But the logo on the front and back is replaced with the "Block C."

Weigh in on this debate now.
