DOWNTOWN CLEVELAND, OH (WOIO) - The Cleveland Cavaliers' new general manager was introduced to the media Wednesday.
Koby Altman, the former Assistant General Manager with the Cavs, is now the GM.
"I am humbled and honored to be here," Altman said.
Altman, who has been with the Cavs since 2012, took time boast about his first big accomplishment since taking the position.
"Signing a former MVP on the first day on the job is kind of a big deal," Altman said laughing.
Altman was referring to the Cavs signing Derrick Rose.
The former New York Knick signed a one-year, $2.1 million deal with the Cavs Sunday.
While the news conference was about Altman, Kyrie Irving's name kept coming up.
Both Gilbert and Altman refused to answer anything specific, but did say he's still under contract with the Cavs and they expect to see him in training camp.
