(OHIO) WOIO - Britney Neal was in line with her younger sister for the Fire Ball ride at the Ohio State Fair when she witnessed the deadly incident.
The incident happened around 7:30 p.m. on Wednesday, when a piece of the Fire Ball ride detached from the machine. One person was killed and seven others were injured.
Neal who is from Marysville said she goes to the fair every year.
"I'm truly traumatized and I will not be riding anymore rides for the rest of my life," Neal said.
The 16-year-old said she was right by the ride's gate.
"Out of the corner of my eye you could see where they had landed. You saw all of them landing before they hit," Neal said.
