COLUMBUS, OH (WOIO) - The family of an 18-year-old killed in an accident at the Ohio State Fair plans to pursue a wrongful death case.
Tyler Jarrell was killed July 26 when a ride called the Fire Ball malfunctioned, sending several riders flying through the air.
The family has retained the law firm of Kitrick, Lewis, and Harris to investigate the incident and handle the case.
Jarrell had joined the Marines the week prior to the incident.
Kitrick, Lewis, and Harris has retained the professional services of Introtech to investigate and reconstruct the tragic incident and determine how and why it happened. The investigators will work with the State Highway patrol, the Department of Agriculture, the State of Ohio, the City of Columbus, and any other agencies involved to ensure that the evidence is preserved and the incident is fully examined and explained.
