DOWNTOWN CLEVELAND, OH (WOIO) -

Cleveland police say a man with a suspended license driving under the influence of alcohol fled from the scene of an accident Thursday morning.

The crash occurred near Miles Road and East 120th Street around 3:45 a.m.

Police said Tyrone Crawford, 24, drove a Ford Explorer into the path of Curtis Houston III, 22. Houston, on a Harley Davidson, braked hard and slid into the Ford.

Houston and the bike caught fire.

Officers say Crawford fled the scene. They found him near East 94th Street and Miles. He was arrested.

Houston sustained a fractured vertebrae, broken femur, severe burns, and facial injuries. He was taken to MetroHealth for treatment, where he remained hospitalized Friday.
