Cars in Cleveland most likely to be stolen than anywhere else in Ohio

CLEVELAND, OH (WOIO) - New statistics show that Cleveland leads the state in stolen cars. More stolen vehicles were reported in Cleveland last year than anywhere else in the state.

According to a study by 24/7 Wall St., there were 6,689 vehicles stolen in 2016. Compare that statistic to an estimated 750,000 cars that were stolen across the United States last year.

California ranks as the state where a car is most likely to be stolen. Ohio is ranked No. 7.

The most popular car stolen in Cleveland is a 2002 Dodge Caravan, according to the report.
