FAIRVIEW PARK, OH (WOIO) - Commuters will have to find an alternative route during a construction project that closes the highly-traveled Brookpark Road bridge.
The project, which started Aug. 1, is scheduled to last approximately 90 days. The bridge repairs on Brookpark Road bridge is expected to be completed by Oct. 31.
The closures will impact drivers in the Fairview Park area traveling over Rocky River. The suggested detour will be posted along I-480 at Grayton Road and Clague Road.
According to the Ohio Department of Transportation, the project will cost approximately $5 million dollars.
