FAIRVIEW PARK, OH (WOIO) - A Fairview Park mother is upset a suspected drunken driver plowed through her front yard Sunday evening, taking out a tree.
"Had we been home it's very possible he could have killed someone, one of my kids and that makes me sick," said Lana Baker.
The mother took to Facebook after seeing the tire tracks and downed tree in her yard on Mildred Avenue.
"The whole first night I was just sick. I wasn't angry, I was just sick, just thinking about if we had been home. Sick to my stomach thinking about what could have happened. My husband was pretty angry, angry about our tree, angry about the damage, angry that someone can just drive drunk whenever they feel like it."
The driver, Mark Haig, 55, has been charged with OVI, reasonable control and improper license plates. His blood alcohol content was .228, almost three times the legal limit.
