DOWNTOWN CLEVELAND, OH (WOIO) - The missing 17-year-old girl that was initially thought to have been abducted in Cleveland has been found safe.
According to Dataijah Hubbard's family, she was able to make it to a Cleveland police station for help.
Police say that Dataijah was last seen Tuesday night in the 5200 block of Superior Avenue. She was reported missing by by her family.
Initially, police said that Dataijah's disappearance was a possible abduction.
Dataijah's brother Lonnell Johnson told Cleveland 19 News that Dataijah sent a text message to her cousin that said, "I'm on Superior and 55th. This guy has me. He's going to kill me."
Police searched an apartment building overnight near East 55th Street, but she was not found, according to the brother.
The man seen with her in a photo released Wednesday by police has been arrested. Donta Ford has been accused of, but not officially charged with, kidnapping.
