Akron business owner holds burglar at gunpoint

AKRON, OH (WOIO) -

An Akron business owner took the law into his own hands and held an alleged burglar at gunpoint until police arrived.

At 3 p.m. on Aug. 4, Robert Faris, 33, broke into TR Construction Company at 1007 Bank Street, according to police.  

The owner of the business confronted Faris and held him there until officers arrived.  

Faris was charged with breaking and entering and possession of criminal tools.  

The suspect admits to breaking into this building at least 10 times before to steal items to support his drug habit.
