WILLOUGHBY HILLS, OH (WOIO) - Mentor police stopped a car they say was speeding Saturday around 7 p.m. on State Route 2.
An officer said he saw a child standing inside the vehicle.
The driver, Paul Shoff, of Painesville, was eventually arrested for OVI.
The adult passenger, Vernon Lomax, of Perry, was arrested for trafficking in heroin, cocaine, dangerous drugs, and child endangering.
Authorities say the drugs were found packaged for sale near one of Lomax's children. They said Lomax had his three children in the back seat.
Lomax is currently out on bond for drug trafficking in another case. Additional charges are possible after the drugs are tested at the Lake County Crime Lab.
