Police offer reward for Cleveland homicide fugitive

CLEVELAND, OH (WOIO) - Cleveland police are searching for Brisean Shepherd, who is wanted for a fatal shooting that took place in May.

According to police, Shepherd shot 50-year-old Ellis Smith inside of a residence on Ashburton Road on May 19. The shooting stemmed from a verbal argument that turned into a physical confrontation.

Police say Smith was transported to University Hospital after being shot, but eventually died at the hospital.

Shepherd is described as a 42-year-old African-American male, approximately 6 feet 2 inches tall, weighs 230 pounds and has black hair and brown eyes. His last address was in East Cleveland on Glynn Avenue. Police believe Shepherd is still in the Cleveland area.
