CLEVELAND, OH (WOIO) - The body of a woman found in a vacant field last October has been identified as 40-year-old Brooke Cameron of Cleveland.

The Cuyahoga County Medical Examiner released the news Wednesday.

Officials say Cameron had been shot in the head and her body dumped. Her body was discovered by a man looking for scrap. He stumbled upon a bag containing human body parts.

In November of 2016 Cameron's skull was sent away for facial reconstruction and a forensic sketch creation.

According to police, Cameron went missing several months before her remains her found. She came to the Cleveland area from New Mexico in 2015 with her boyfriend.

Police are still looking for suspects and urge people to call them with information.
