Watch, read Ohio Gov. John Kasich's entire State of the State address

CLEVELAND, OH (WOIO) - During his final State of the State address as governor of Ohio, John Kasich touched on a wide range of topics and reflected on his tenure running the Buckeye State.

The speech, which lasted approximately 54 minutes, covered everything from philosphy, to mass shootings, to praise for the fallen police officers in Westerville.

One glaring absence from the speech though was any intent on running for president in the future. He made no mention of any potential political aspirations after his run as Ohio governor is over.

The text of Gov. John Kasich's State of the State address as delivered on Wednesday:

Well, I want to thank the General Assembly. Of course, my great friend, Cliff Rosenberger, and Larry Obhof, the Senate President, Lieutenant Governor of the state of Ohio, Mary Taylor, and my Cabinet who was all about Westerville today. And I want to thank, of course, Otterbein University. I used to run on your track. I still will. So thank you for allowing us to be here, and President Krendl, who hosted us tonight. And how about just a little bit of appreciation for my family - my wife Karen, and my daughters Emma and Reese.
