New exhibit celebrates Cleveland's rich history

CLEVELAND, OH (WOIO) - The city of Cleveland has accomplished a lot in its 222-year history.

From famous people to inventions and artifacts, the Cleveland History Center offers a unique look at the city's past and present.

The new 'Cleveland Starts Here' collection is a permanent exhibit natives and visitors will equally enjoy.

"To me, this would be a successful exhibit if people who tour this space and see this exhibit, if they make a connection," said Eric Rivet, Curator of Collections and Exhibits at the Cleveland History Center. "It presents a timeline of Cleveland history starting with Moses Cleaveland (and) his arrival in 1796. We've been here a long time. We've got a long and very interesting history and this is the place to go."
