ELYRIA, OH (WOIO) - The Lorain County Coroner said a 4-year-old boy is dead after a house fire in Elyria on Saturday.

The Elyria Fire Department said firefighters responded to the fire on the 400 block of 2nd Street around 3 p.m.

The  4-year-old's body was recovered around 7:45 p.m.

He has been identified as Omeire Davila.

Family members say Davila ran upstairs when the fire started.

Several other fire departments in the area responded to the scene.

The cause of the fire is still under investigation.

The family has set up a GoFundMe account, since their home was destroyed.
