Build-A-Bear closes lines due to safety concerns as mobs of people go to 'Pay Your Age' day

Build-A-Bear Workshop announced on Facebook lines have been closed for the "Pay Your Age" day after safety concerns from authorities.

The business has closed lines at the stores in the United States and Canada.

The July 12 event allowed a customer to pay the age of anyone accompanying a child at a store.

A Youtube user posted a video of a huge line at the Belden Village Mall in Canton.

Build-A-Bear announced they we will reach out to disappointed customers as soon as possible.

After many Bonus Club members were turned away at the stores due to overwhelming demand, Build-A-Bear is making vouchers available to members in the U.S. and Canada who log into their accounts by midnight on Sunday.

These vouchers will be good through Aug. 31.

The company says these vouchers may be used on a future purchase.
