COLUMBUS, OH (WOIO) - The Columbus Police Department has found itself in the hot seat over a contentious sting operation, which led to the arrest of adult film star Stormy Daniels.
Prosecutors dropped all charges Thursday, hours after the porn star was taken into custody and accused of illegally rubbing undercover police officers' faces against her bare breasts during a performance at Sirens dance club on Wednesday night.
Columbus Police Chief Kim Jacobs issued a statement Thursday calling Daniels' arrest a "mistake."
Daniels' attorney said she was "set up," calling the imbroglio an "absurd use of law enforcement resources."
Chief Jacobs also called the undercover officer's decisions into question.
