CLEVELAND, OH (WOIO) - One Cleveland community got more than a facelift, it got a deep clean by a big group of volunteers.
CHN Housing Partners hit the streets in Slavic Village to clear overgrown lawns, and garbage that had been thrown onto vacant lots.
The more than 70 volunteers included members of Cleveland's Police, Fire and EMS Departments.
It was an extra special project for one of those volunteers.
"It's more special to me because I grew up here, I still have a brother on Fleet," said EMS Commander Carol Cavin.
