CLEVELAND, OH (WOIO) - CNN anchor Don Lemon's scathing monologue on Monday night defended LeBron James' intelligence and accused the president of being a racist.

"This president trafficks in racism and is fueled by bullying," Lemon said.

The 9-minute long opening statement on "CNN Tonight with Don Lemon" comes three days after President Donald Trump called James and Lemon stupid.

Lemon went on to list the president's previous insults to other minorities.

"Notice a pattern?" Lemon asked. "The president constantly denigrates people of color, and women, too."

The president's comments that Lemon refers to were tweeted after an interview with James aired, where the former Cleveland Cavaliers star discussed his public school in Akron that will provide education to 240 at-risk third and fourth grade students.
