CLEVELAND, OH (WOIO) - Dez Bryant tweeted to Browns general manager John Dorsey during Cleveland's first preseason game Thursday night, teasing a tryout for the team next week.
The tweets from the free agent wide receiver came as Browns quarterbacks Tyrod Taylor and Baker Mayfield each drove down the field against the Giants for their own touchdowns.
The play from the newest play-callers in Cleveland must have impressed Bryant, because he said he wouldn't mind playing for the Browns.
The Browns are in need of a playmaker in the receiving corp. New addition Jarvis Landry is expected to shine in Cleveland, but another receiver is needed.
Josh Gordon's future in the league is uncertain after he took a leave of absence to focus on his mental and physical health. The Browns traded away former first-round pick Corey Coleman on Sunday and this year's fourth-round pick Antonio Callaway was recently cited for marijuana possession.
Bryant, the three-time Pro Bowler, was released from the Cowboys after playing eight years in Dallas.
