BEACHWOOD, OH (WOIO) -

Beachwood police are investigating the suspicious death of a podiatrist.

Dr. Richard Warn, 59, was found dead in his home located in the 2400 block of Brentwood Road Thursday evening. This, after his wife returned home from vacationing with her family and couldn't get into the house because she had forgotten her key. Mrs. Warn noticed all three vehicles were in the driveway so she knocked several more times then called police for help getting into the home.

Police responded to the home around 6:08 p.m. to help with a welfare check and found Warn's body.

According to Beachwood Police, there was no sign of forced entry, but foul play is suspected.

Beachwood Police say Richard Warn died from multiple gun shot wounds in the suspected homicide. No further details will be released at this time in order to maintain the integrity of the investigation, according to police.

The case is being investigated by Beachwood Police with the assistance of the B.C.I. and Cuyahoga County Prosecutor's office.

A background search revealed that Richard Warn was a podiatrist with an active practice professional license.
